coffee talk tuesday | change can be good

What? Where did the Tuesday Tips series go you might ask? I decided to change Tuesday Tips (which started out being centered around the little tidbits I’ve been learning as a new photographer in the wedding industry) into something that feels more me…I really love the idea of sharing what I’m learning as I continue to build my business with others who are starting out…but I started to find that the things I wanted to and have been sharing are more related to the principles and heart behind what I’m learning as a business owner in the photography industry, and less about specific beginner photography tips, which can sometimes seem overdone when 50 other photogs are blogging the exact same tips. Dont get me wrong, I’m still definitely going to be sharing more practical tips that I’m learning along the way — I think there is so much value in a new perspective. Maybe some of the things I share will be similar to what other’s have shared in the past, but when it comes to learning I think that sometimes the way one person explains it may be more helpful to specific people than the way someone else has explained it in the past. A fresh perspective or a different point of view can make ALL the difference in understanding something sometimes.

But again, I really want this series to feel more me. When you read it I want it to feel like we’re meeting for coffee together at Starbucks and I’m just chatting about the things I’ve been learning recently and how those things apply to my life and business…It’s about sharing my perspective and life with you. I’m a coffee addict and coffee dates are something that I actually do weekly with some of my good friends! So it seems fitting that it would become a weekly series on the blog too. It’s not just about the coffee..it’s about the feeling and the sharing of life and advice that can go along and pair so well with a cup of coffee…Chatting over a cup of dark roast coffee or a cappuccino with a close friend in a cafe with good ambiance is literally one of my favorite things to do. I’m so excited to continue to share more of my heart behind my business and what I’m learning!

And hopefully one day soon we will be “meeting” for coffee talk tuesday at a blog with better ambiance…My designer, Krista, and I are making SO much awesome progress towards a brand and website that reflects me so much better and I am getting so overwhelmingly excited to share it!!

Even just hearing you describe a good coffee date makes me want to schedule one with someone! I’m so encouraged by how incredibly far you’ve come in such a short amount of time, girl. :)
