Featured and What’s up Next!

Right now our new puppy, Lexie, is sitting at my feet staring at me with that sweet little face that seems to be saying “Mom! Please play with me instead of doing work!”…I love being a puppy parent…I cant wait to show you some pictures of her tomorrow along with a formal introduction…Right now my inbox is overflowing though plus I have a lot of editing to do so I’m going to have to wait on playing with her, but I just love having her as company! She is the best and cutest office assistant!

So anyway, I know these types of posts are kind of boring, but I think it’s really important to thank the blogs who were willing to feature my work! When I first started out I didn’t understand the value of having your work featured…I think back to when a few of my engagement pictures by Katelyn James were featured on The Brides Cafe and then when my wedding was featured in The Knot magazine and I just remember being so excited!! I put so much thought and effort into planning both and it is so cool to know that maybe it helped to inspire other brides when they saw it! That being said, photographers also put so much work and effort into the way they shoot a wedding or session and it was definitely a whole different kind of excitement seeing my work in places that were not my own blog for the first time! I’m so excited to continue submitting sessions and weddings and am secretly hoping to see some of my work in print one day…We’ll see how that goes I guess… ;)

Thank you Borrowed and Bleu for featuring Alexis and Chris!

Thank you Southern Weddings for featuring Max and Laura’s e-session as a Facebook Featured Friday post!

And thanks so much to the ladies at Bayside Bride for featuring Lance and Kristin’s Portsmouth engagement session!

And because I know this post isn’t so interesting otherwise, here’s a few more peeks at some sessions that will be on the blog next week!

Verlee and Doug’s session is up next!

Followed by Lauren and Lucas’s downtown RVA session!

Happy Thursday!!

A glimpse into my daily life in Richmond, VA (and travels beyond) with my husband Ryan, our disobedient puppy Lexie, and the work, style and attempts at minimalism in between.
