If you saw my post yesterday, you know that I have a new found love for Venice, Italy…It is no doubt one of the most incredible places I have ever had a shoot! Everywhere you look is a photo op. There is no shortage of charming buildings, gorgeous teal water (I couldn’t stop taking pictures of it!), or cute old boats and I could have walked around for days just photographing the people and culture that this place holds…It was entirely different than all of the other places we visited on our trip to Europe and I’m SO happy that Amy and Jordan wanted to squeeze in a shoot to the end of their trip so that

I’ve noticed it’s a much different thing traveling to a foreign country when you know people there..it becomes much more about soaking up the culture and appreciating a different way of life than just seeing the sights as is tempting to do when you don’t know any better (ie. what we did when we were in Paris a few weeks ago even though we tried our hardest to blend in!). Of course I think seeing sights is an amazing part of visiting a new place, but my FAVORITE countries I’ve visited are the ones where we had someone who’s experienced the place much more deeply guiding us and showing

I can hardly believe that I’m typing this from my aunt’s garden in Langenzenn, Germany…It feels unreal! I’ve been waiting for this trip to get here for what seems like so long, and I’m so thrilled to be here with my sister and German relatives. It’s been almost exactly two years since I was last here, and although I’m feeling extremely fortunate to be on the other side of the Atlantic for a few days shy of a month (and to be here for work no less!), the time never seems quite long enough. So I am soaking up every second! Next week Ryan and some of our friends will arrive here and so will begin the next

It has been a whirlwind of a summer over here in the AAP office…can you believe we’re already creeping up on late July?! My summer has been filled with Weddings, Anniversary Celebration Sessions, planning a few special projects that I can’t wait to share more about (!!), spending time with family and friends, and organizing the details for our European adventure! I’ve been excited about that last thing ever since Rachel and James booked me last year to photograph their wedding in the UK and I can’t believe it’s finally so close! It’s about to get real guys. I need to start packing soon!
