Elizabeth and Scott

The whole day I kept thinking about how much Elizabeth reminds me of Kate Middleton. She has this elegance about her that is so sophisticated in a beautifully understated way…and she and Scott’s wedding was definitely fit for a princess! It began at the Hay Adams in DC where she got ready surrounded by her closest girlfriends…everyone was chatting and laughing and the excitement was building as she prepared to meet her groom! She slipped into her gown with the help of her stepmom and sister and then they placed the veil in her hair…the handmade heirloom that has been borrowed by each bride in her family…and it was breathtaking on her! I couldn’t wait for Scott to see her…

They had a heartfelt wedding ceremony in a little chapel surrounded by their family and friends and it was such an honor to get to capture them saying their vows! Scott and Elizabeth make such an amazing couple and I’m so excited for them and their new marriage! Following the ceremony, they celebrated at the National Museum of Women in the Arts with a beautiful reception designed by Elizabeth Duncan Events and an amazing band! I’m so excited to share the photos from their day and hope you enjoy!
