A Coastal Carolina Engagement | Nate and Ellie

It felt like something out of a romance novel..I drove down a winding, sandy road on an island off the coast of North Carolina until I arrived at the last house on the very northern tip of the island. As soon as I caught a glimpse of the beautiful roofline and the big windows with the water in the background, I couldn’t wait to start shooting! Almost on cue, Nate and Ellie came out of the house and met me as I drove up…They are every bit as down to earth and fun as they seem in these photos!

They led me in the front door and I couldn’t wait to get to know them better or to start their session…but first I had to have a tour! Ellie’s uncle built this home to look like the oldest house on the island and designed the interior to match that theme perfectly. I felt as thought I had stepped into a home in Southern Living Magazine. This is the stuff my engagement session dreams are made of! It was freezing outside, but we ended the evening talking with coffee in hand in the cutest little sitting area and I was counting my blessings that I get to work with such incredible couples!

Nate and Ellie, thank you so much for inviting me into your family’s home and for making me feel so welcomed! I’m so honored to get to capture this special time in your lives and your wedding day can’t get here soon enough!
