As I went back through all of my wedding blog posts from this past year to find some of my favorites from each one, I was overwhelmed with so many emotions…I can’t believe that 2013 has officially come to a close and we are now entering a brand new year! Last year seemed to fly by…I loved reflecting on each of these wedding days and how I was so blessed by each of them. I’m so incredibly thankful for each of these couples who made it possible for me to quit my day job this year to become a full time wedding photographer…27 weddings was a lot for me to handle and I’ve decided to limit the number of weddings I shoot this year because of that…but I wouldn’t change this past year for anything because each of these couples helped to shape my business into what I want it to be! I will forever be grateful to them!!
I’m so excited about all that was accomplished this past year, but also so excited for all of the growing and learning I will get to do over this next year. I’m incredibly thankful for all of the people who encouraged me in 2013…my amazingly patient and supportive husband and my family and friends..but also anyone and everyone who reads my blog and left a comment or took the time to email me…it has meant so much more to me then you will ever know! I’m so excited to have well defined ideas of where my business is heading and can’t wait to share them with you as we move forward in 2014!
But for now, here is a somewhat random assortment of a few favorites from each wedding this past year! It is so fun to look back and see growth…There is so much more to being a photographer than just learning to take a pretty picture. I think a lot of the growth process is a matter of self-discovery — figuring out what types of images really speak to you and then building a style around them! The goal is for my images to inspire couples years later to reminisce about the joy and love that they felt on this special day in their lives. I’m continually striving to capture images that are timeless — images that are crisp, classic and authentic, and that portray a couple and their relationship…those are always my favorites! I hope you enjoy looking through them! Happy New Year!!
