I just got back after a week long vacation to the outer banks last week, and I have to say that as much as I loved the time we got to spend with family — relaxing on the beach, playing cards, and watching TV on the rainy days (we dont have cable at our house so I especially enjoyed getting to watch some HGTV!) — it feels kind of good to be home! Can you tell I’m trying to have a good attitude about this? I have lots of behind the scenes work waiting for me, but I also have a lot of beautiful pictures to work on and share this week so that makes it easier to get back into my routine :)

Ryan’s family has rented a beach house in Salvo the past 2 summers…which is further south than Nags Head in the Outerbanks…and  it is such a fun time! I’m really not a beach type of girl…I’d normally prefer to spend a day on a boat somewhere or in the mountains…but last week was blissful! It was so nice to not really have a schedule or any big plans…I hadnt really let myself relax in a long time and it was so fun to really let go and just enjoy my time with my favorite in-laws. I really love my family. I am so blessed!

Aaand I am SO excited to share this beautiful bride’s wedding on the blog this week! It was such a perfect day! The getting ready portion of the wedding day is normally my favorite and it was all too convenient that Kelcey’s getting ready room actually coordinated with her wedding colors! That rarely happens! It was glorious! And Kelcey is super photogenic so I was a happy photographer…Cant wait to share!!
