I’m actually posting this from McDonald’s because right now I’m in Bethany Beach at my family’s beach house that has no internet…it’s kind of amazing to be so disconnected sometimes! (Except for my phone obviously) and I’m loving the time I’ve been able to spend with my family relaxing on the beach, taking evening walks, and just hanging out. I’m learning that it’s really hard to take a vacation as a small business owner because the work never really ends and it’s so hard for me to turn my brain off! I hope you are having a relaxing Fourth of July weekend as well! We’ve been here since Monday night, so were actually heading home today since I have a wedding tomorrow near Richmond.

This week we took Lexie down to the beach for the first time and she LOVED it..she was less crazy about the water, but had so much fun digging and rolling around in the sand…and we had fun watching her and laughing at her…she is so silly, but we love her to pieces!

Last year on this day I was uploading my first ever post on my old blog…I remember feeling so nervous because launching a blog for me meant that I was giving this whole business thing a try…it was a huge leap of faith for me because putting yourself out there is scary sometimes! What if I failed? What if no one liked my pictures? I was so thankful for the positive response that I got on it and since then have been super thankful for each and every person who follows my blog and likes looking at my pictures! And I am especially thankful for each of my brides who has trusted me to capture their wedding day. It has been such an honor and I am so blessed by all of the people I have met through my business!

On another note, these two cuties wedding will be up on the blog soon! Love them!
