It’s raining here today…which is kind of sad because Ryan, Lexie and I are heading to the beach this week! And I am in desperate need of a tan and some relaxation on the beach…Can you believe that today marks the first day of JULY?!? A month ago I was looking at my calendar and it felt like there was so much going on in June that July would never come…it kind of felt like the way it used to feel at the end of a semester in college..when you were so close to being done, but you still had exams and a few projects and papers that stood in your way before your break could start. I’m kind of a nerd and I secretly liked school, but having lots of June weddings standing in the way of getting to July was obviously much better than having a bunch of exams standing in the way of summer break…but it still felt like July 1st would never come! But it’s here and  I am amazed at how quickly this past month flew by and I’m SO thankful to have been a part of lots of beautiful June weddings! June was my wedding month, so I’m kind of biased in thinking that it’s the best month for a wedding ;)

Next weekend’s wedding ends the non-stop wedding weekends for me until late July! I’m so excited to rest a bit, to have more time to edit and to get recharged for the season when it picks up again in August.

In June I’m so happy to say that I was able to meet a lot of the goals that I had set for myself both personally and in my business…I ordered new collateral and packaging to match my new brand (a post showing this off will be up once the rest of it comes in the mail!), shot five weddings well, celebrated my 2 year anniversary with a fun mini trip to the Eastern Shore,  and bought a new car to replace my old one that failed inspection last month…(and it has such amazing gas mileage which makes me so thankful because of all the driving I do for this job!).

Hopefully July will be just as productive! Here are my goals!:

• Order a new sample album 
• Finish decorating my office and blog it!
• Streamline my workflow further and evaluate the things I did well in June and how I can improve my business in July!
• Get fully caught up with editing
• Recharge for the season to pick up again in full swing in August!
