The Coaching Reunion

I’ve always thought one of the best things about getting to be a part of the photography industry is the people I’ve been able to meet because of it…I have way more friends from way more places than I ever would’ve had otherwise…I am a big people person so I get my energy from spending time with people…Since as a photographer I spend at least 80% of my job in front of a computer doing the behind the scenes work (that is a made up statistic but it sounds about right!), it’s always a fun change to get to go to an event where you can network with other professionals and encourage one another.

Katelyn James hosted a “Coaching Reunion” at her beautiful new home last week to give all of her coaching session attendees a chance to meet and network with one another, and to film a video of what her new and improved Workshop Experience will be like  (since she is going to start hosting workshops at her house…). Doing a coaching session with Katelyn a year ago has been one of the best investments I’ve made for my business…and it was so cool to get to hang out with a group of photographers who were all encouraged and positively influenced by Katelyn to go out and do big things with their businesses!

At the beginning of the evening we had a time where people would reflect on their accomplishments from the past year and it was so amazing to listen to people’s stories and to look around and see how genuinely happy everyone was to hear about how our peers (and what would normally be considered competition) are growing and moving forward. I loved that. I love that this is an industry where people are so willing to help others grow. People I look up to have been so willing to help me, and I hope to be able to help others too!

We also got to do a fun little mini photo shoot in the front yard…my beautiful friend, Lauryn, modeled as the bride…and she’s just too cute and made it super easy to get good pictures even though we were all shooting together in a group of like 20 people! Craziness! But it was so much fun and I’m so thankful I got to be there…Thank you so much to Katelyn, for inviting all of us over and for hosting such a fun evening!!

The seriously swoon-worthy bouquet by Anthomanic. I was dying to take it home….

If you are looking for a cinematographer you should check out Jeremy Mitchell Cinema!

Lauryn, you are so beautiful!!

I’m not sure what was happening in that left picture, but it made me laugh so I decided to share it…

Lexie really wants to be Bokeh’s girlfriend. He is basically a celebrity dog.

Obviously he was tired after a long day of entertaining guests. And then I couldn’t resist getting a picture with him!

Thanks again Katelyn!! So blessed by you!
