There are actually ZERO instagrams in Instagood Monday this week…I was so busy this past weekend that I completely forgot to take any! Kind of sad because it was such a fun weekend…It went by SO quickly it all kind of feels like a blur… (A really pretty blur!! The 2013 wedding season is shaping up to be a good one!) I headed up to Northern Virginia Saturday morning to shoot a wedding all day (thanks so much to my friend Katie for second shooting with me!). The wedding was absolutely stunning and I was so excited to be a part of it…I sort of felt like I got to photograph Kate Middleton all day…isn’t Erica gorgeous??
…After the wedding we got to spend the night with my grandparents in Alexandria which is always really fun…My grandpa is the cutest old man and loves making me breakfast in the morning after a wedding! I love shooting weddings up in Nova when they’re not too far from my grandparents house because it’s way more relaxing and fun going “home” to my grandparents house after a wedding than to an empty hotel room…I’m so thankful for them!
Sunday morning I headed into DC to take Katie to Georgetown to have brunch with her sister…then I got to meet with another bride and her mother to see the (AMAZING!) cathedral and venue where she is getting married this summer in DC. The venue is also gorgeous and when we walked up I mentioned that I felt like I was in Munich, Germany (near where my family lives over there!). I love looking at the architecture in big cities!
Then I headed BACK to Georgetown to shoot one of my new favorite engagement sessions…The couple is so sweet and has such great style…We started in a cute cafe and also ended up renting a bicycle for some shots outside! I was literally in heaven and I can’t wait to share it.
I was also reminded that I am the WORST at driving in big cities…I’m not a super aggressive driver and the streets in DC are kind of confusing…but it was totally worth it because it was such a great weekend!
