A weekend off and our adventures in Charlottesville!

This past weekend was one of the most relaxing I’ve had in a long time…not because we didn’t do anything, but just because I didn’t have to travel anywhere for photography! We actually were able to get our entire downstairs almost setup, we hung stuff on the walls, and our house is finally starting to feel like a HOME! I feel like my biggest accomplishment this weekend was painting our built-in bookshelves…I had seen what a different it made on the Young House Love blog for them, and I am happy to say that it made a HUGE difference in the look and feel of our living room! YAY! I’ll have to show pictures of it soon…

As a reward for all the progress we made on our house on Saturday, we decided to go to Charlottesville on Sunday with some of our best friends Liz and Daniel! Our church small group is going apple picking as a group next weekend up there, but since I won’t be able to make it, I decided I really wanted to go before all the apples are gone! It was rainy and freezing, but GORGEOUS and so much fun. I can’t wait to make apple sauce, apple butter and apple pie with all the apples we picked! Here are a few pictures from the trip just for fun…

This place is BEAUTIFUL! and the light was so pretty because it was so overcast…

BFF’s.

I think he’s pretty cute…and I was obviously a little excited to be there, even though I was freezing and my hair was frizzy from all the rain!

And then I made Liz model for me because I couldn’t resist…I’m thankful that I have beautiful friends who don’t mind being in front of the camera!

Liz, you are so pretty…

And we left with these and some hot apple cider…If I wasn’t attempting to eat healthier starting today, thenI might drive back up there just to get more of them. They are THAT good.

If anyone wants to take their engagement pictures at Carter Mountain..I’m all in. Just sayin’…Happy Monday!!
