Josh and April | Engaged | Richmond, Virginia

I pulled into the parking lot next to the footbridge that leads to Belle Island and started praying…the clouds were looking scary and dark off in the distance and I really didn’t want this session to get rained out! I was so excited to spend the evening with April and Josh – they are such a sweet and down to earth couple. We were able to get a lot of good shots before it started raining and the dark clouds made for some really cool lighting!

Eventually we decided to risk walking over the bridge to the island even though we knew it was about to rain any minute! And after it started pouring they were still willing to let me keep shooting…We were soaking wet by the end of the session, but it was so much fun and definitely worth it!

April and Josh, congratulations!! I loved getting to hang out and it was so fun to hear about your wedding plans!

I hope you enjoy my favorites!

April, you’re adorable!

toooo cute!

I was loving all this greenery down by the water!

love these ones:)..so happy!

This was about the time when we started to feel some raindrops…

Look at those clouds!!

Heading across the bridge, even though we knew the rain was on it’s way!

love this!

RIGHT after we made it to these rocks it started POURING…

We took as many as we could before we got too soaked…April still looks amazing despite the rain!

Then we walked as fast as we could back over the bridge…I found out my Kelly Moore Mimi camera bag is not the most waterproof thing, but it was so much fun and definitely worth it! Thank you April and Josh for allowing me to capture this special time in your lives!

I’m off to South Carolina…have a great weekend!!
